Two major national sheriffs’ organizations support former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s nomination to become the next U.S. attorney general.
The National Sheriffs’ Association and the Major County Sheriffs of America, in communications with Senate leaders, argued that Bondi’s experience and leadership are needed to bring change to the Department of Justice, the Daily Caller reported Tuesday.
Bondi is President-elect Donald Trump’s second nominee for attorney general after former Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration.
